Health and Wellness

Promote Health, Prevent Disease

We are pleased to announce that the Alliance has been recognized by the American Heart Association as a Gold Level “Fit-Friendly Worksite.” We have taken important steps to create a culture of wellness through a variety of programs available to help employees stay healthy including our annual health fair. Most programs are available to regular employees working 30 or more hours per week.

The Alliance Health and Wellness Team promotes health and prevents disease by creating a culture of wellness through education, nutrition and exercise that leads to healthier lives. The vision of the program is to create a workplace that encourages our employees and their families to be healthy in all facets of their lives.

The Alliance promotes and encourages ongoing health and wellness by offering a health and wellness reimbursement benefit. The Alliance will reimburse employees a portion of fees for wellness-related programs such as:

  • Health and/or Fitness Club Membership
  • Fitness Classes, such as Yoga, Pilates, Aerobics, Dance Fitness, etc.
  • Nutrition and/or Weight Loss Consulting
  • Smoking Cessation Courses and/or Instruction

Employees may obtain reimbursement up to:

  • $100 per rolling 12-month period for membership enrollment fees, and
  • $30 per month for monthly membership fees.

Employees may use their Health and Wellness Reimbursement benefit to join any health club or fitness center that is a recognized service provider in the area of exercise, health, fitness, weight training and/or general health improvement. The Alliance also has a corporate account with a special discount at In-Shape. Employees will need to provide proof of Alliance employment at the fitness club at time of registration. Employees will need to pay out of pocket and then submit a reimbursement form. Note: Employees who take advantage of a corporate membership at In-Shape are not eligible for an additional Health and Wellness Reimbursement for monthly membership fees for a different fitness facility.
